On a correspondence between regular and non-regular operator monotone functions
We prove that there is a bijection between the families of regular and non-regular operator monotone functions. As an application we give a new proof of the operator monotonicity of a certain class of functions related to Wigner-Yanase-Dyson skew information. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification. متن کاملThe Bridge Between Regular Cost Functions and Omega-Regular Languages
In this paper, we exhibit a one-to-one correspondence between ω-regular languages and a subclass of regular cost functions over finite words, called ω-regular like cost functions. This bridge between the two models allows one to readily import classical results such as the last appearance record or the McNaughton-Safra constructions to the realm of regular cost functions. In combination with ga...
متن کاملOn the Correspondence Between Conformance Testing and Regular Inference
Conformance testing for finite state machines and regular inference both aim at identifying the model structure underlying a black box system on the basis of a limited set of observations. Whereas the former technique checks for equivalence with a given conjecture model, the latter techniques addresses the corresponding synthesis problem by means of techniques adopted from automata learning. In...
متن کاملA graphical difference between the inverse and regular semigroups
In this paper we investigate the Green graphs for the regular and inverse semigroups by considering the Green classes of them. And by using the properties of these semigroups, we prove that all of the five Green graphs for the inverse semigroups are isomorphic complete graphs, while this doesn't hold for the regular semigroups. In other words, we prove that in a regular se...
متن کاملAssessment of the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in regular and non-regular blood and plasma donors
Abstract Background and Objectives Non-alcoholic liver disease (NAFLD) is a spectrum of diseases, ranging from non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) which can lead to liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Nonalchololic fatty liver is the most prevalent hepatic disorder worldwide which can affect up to the one out of four adults. Little is known about...
